Culture Shock
I had the BEST weekend this past weekend filled with cultural adventures that honestly can not really be explained in words. So I will do my best to explain what I did but with an emphasis on pictures :) Louisiana Museum of Modern Art
Saturday morning and almost an hour train ride away I was standing in the museum showing the most talked about collection in Copenhagen, the Yakoi Kusama exhibit. This modern artist/fashion designer has developed several rooms of mind bending instalations that are based off the infinity theme.
From there I wandered through the museum's collection of modern art.
Another temporary exhibit that was happening was called Africa that I spent some time admiring the beauty in there as well.
Cisterne
On Sunday, thanks to the best travel agent ever Instagram, I was heading underground Frediksburg. Currently an art installation involving light and water was happening and it.was.stunning! Pictures barely do it justice!
On my way home and heading to the metro I walked through the Frediksberg Castle gardens where I found this weeks "WTF Denmark" moment....a pacifier tree. Yes, there is a tree where children bring their "sut" when they are too big to have them and they tie them to the tree. So adorable but so odd.
Tonight I am off to Aalborg in Jutland to spend a few days with Mette's family :)
Until next week...
